Wreath Bowl Wheel Workshop, Sat. 11/16, 3-5pm
Wreath Bowl Wheel Workshop, Sat. 11/16, 3-5pm
Work with an experienced potter on the pottery wheel to create a large bowl with step by step instructions. You will learn how to center 3 pounds of clay, and the basics of throwing pottery on the wheel to create a shape you would like. No experience needed! Then press pine branches into the clay in the shape of a wreath! We will supply the branches but you are welcome to bring your own as well. After the workshop, your piece will take time to air dry, and then be fired in our kiln.
Return after 2 weeks to paint your piece with glaze in your choice of colors (no appointment needed, and no additional charge). Fill the branch impressions with glaze and add details! Then it goes into the kiln for a final firing. Your piece will be food safe and even oven, dishwasher, and microwave safe. Ready 2 weeks after painting! Ages 10 and up.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled, as instruction will begin promptly at 3pm.
Late arrival of 20 minutes or more will be considered a cancellation without refund.
Registrations are closed 2 hours prior to the workshop so that we can prepare materials.
Aprons are provided, but clay may get on clothing and shoes.
Beverages are allowed to be brought with you, including alcohol for ages 21+.
