Penguin or Snowman Wheel Workshop, Sun. 11/17, 12-2pm
Create a Penguin or Snowman on the pottery wheel by hand! Use them as a utensil holder, planter, or even a mug! You will learn how to center 3 pounds of clay, and the basics of throwing pottery on the wheel. After the workshop, your piece will take time to air dry, and then be fired in our kiln.
Return after 2 weeks to paint your piece with glazes in your choice of colors and design (no appointment needed, and no additional charge). Then it goes into the kiln one more time and will be ready 2 weeks after painting it. Your piece will be waterproof and even food safe! Ages 10 and up welcome.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled, as instruction will begin promptly at 12pm.
Late arrival of 20 minutes or more will be considered a cancellation without refund.
Registrations are closed 2 hours prior to the workshop so that we can prepare materials.
Aprons are provided, but clay may get on clothing and shoes.
Beverages are allowed to be brought with you, including alcohol for ages 21+.
